Features of various LCD screen interfaces:
SPI: serial interface, generally used for a small size screen with a resolution less than 240 * 240. If the resolution is high, the refresh speed appears slow to affect the viewing experience.
MCU: commonly known as parallel port, it is recommended to be used for small screen with resolution of 320 * 480 and below. In addition, this interface will occupy more master control resources, which is not suitable for video display and animation.
RGB: dedicated display interface, refresh does not occupy the main control resources, but need to choose the main control containing RGB module, the price is more expensive.
In addition, SPI is generally used to transmit initialization commands, while digital screen does not need SPI, so initialization cannot be controlled.
LVDS: low-voltage differential interface, easy to realize the data transmission of high speed, low noise, long distance, high accuracy, and simple debugging, but can not transmit the control command, only suitable for the transmission of video data.
MIPI: it is also a differential signal, but also can transmit control instructions, debugging is more troublesome than LVDS. |
